Hampton University’s Forty Under 40 Alumni Society
So excited to finally be able to share that I have been selected as a member of the 2021 class of Hampton University’s Forty Under 40 Alumni Society!!! I am grateful and humbled to share this honor with these phenomenal men and women. Congratulations to my fellow honorees!
If you KNOW me, you know how deep my love goes for my alma mater and how much of an advocate I am for HBCUs. This honor is special.

Key to the City of Waterbury CT
I was asked to speak to the students at my alma mater, Wilby High School in Waterbury, CT, and talk about being a professional in the medical and healthcare fields. Being asked to come home and speak to the students at my high school was a privilege in itself but I was honored to receive an Official Citation by the State of Connecticut and…wait for it…
…A KEY TO THE CITY OF WATERBURY!
And if that wasn’t enough, honorees also had a portrait created of them!!! It was a great weekend being able to give back to the students at my high school. Do you know what it means to be acknowledged and honored by your hometown where you were born and raised?! This one…this one hits different. Thank you, Judge Maurice Mosley, Granville Academy, Wilby High School, Mayor O’Leary, and Representative Butler!
As I end this, I think of the quote, “To whom much is given, much is required.” Let the work of educating, encouraging, and empowering our young people continue!
