Dr. Matthew Vialva is a scholar-practitioner and mid-career professional with experience at the executive leadership. He received his BA in Psychology from Hampton University, MSW in Clinical Social Work from Boston College, and has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and completed his doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership at Northeastern University.
Over the course of his professional career in social work and education, he’s had the opportunity of conducting and executing professional and leadership responsibilities in various settings, with diverse populations, spanning K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, and the nonprofit sectors. As such, he brings a firm commitment to consumers seeking services, colleagues, organizational learning and leadership as well as programmatic, research, and staff development.
He develops and facilitates curricula, workshops, trainings, and seminars for school districts, businesses, and non-profit organizations on topics involving emotional intelligence and effective leadership, diversity and inclusion (DEI), social justice in education and mental health, among others.
Additionally, Dr. Vialva has been a guest panelist speaker at noted universities including Boston College and Harvard University.
He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia.
