“Can I Askew a Question” Documentary

This is a documentary project I’ve had the privilege of being a panelist speaker and co-producer on. It’s a documentary that follows the quest of James Durrah, a 29-year-old Georgia native, to address unanswered questions as it relates to finding his biological family, and subsequently addressing the larger conversation of adoption and child abandonment amongst young African American men. This was an opportunity to speak candidly with other mental health professionals on the aforementioned topics and discuss ways of increasing awareness with our communities.

Durrah, II and @askewfilm for allowing me to be a part of this documentary film and panel discussion. It was a great experience! This is only the beginning and I’m excited to see where this film takes you. It is allowing for people to have much needed conversations around #trauma #healing #abandonment #mentalhealth #therapy
